Because I realize Valentine's Day in less then a week away and I have a lot of love to give, I needed to make a decision. An executive decision.
Less then a week away... It's a post every day!
Haute Lips!
They're Haute, Kissable, Sparkly, Chocolate and Caramel.
All in one big Kiss...From Me to You!
And it's all because of a heat wave...29 degrees.
After staying inside for waaay to long because of the single digit temps, I had to go to Hobby Lobby and get my fix.
It's not what I went in for, but what I came out with that counts.
The mold - it was the mold!
Works for Ice, Candy AND wouldn't it be great for a cake pop? (Coming Soon)
CandiQuik worked great to fill the lips and I added sparkle with edible glitter.
I decided to try it out with two lips before I went on to fill the entire thing and have it not work - see?
It's only taken me a few years to figure that out! I'm happy to report...it worked!
Fill the lips with the melted CandiQuik and with a knife, coat the sides of the lips with chocolate.
Do this by dipping the knife into the chocolate and cover the sides, once or twice until it's thick.
Place in freezer until firm.
Add caramel to the middle, either homemade or store bought.
Cover the caramel with another layer of chocolate. Freeze.
Once the caramels have frozen, they will peel right out of the mold.
Let the lips come to room temp and sprinkle with edible red glitter and shake off excess.
Serve up lots of Haute Lips or get ready to package.
And because I'm a Pretzel Packaging Partiologist, I got out the bags.
The Pretzel Bags.
It was LOVE at first BITE!
Kiss & Tell!
I'm so amazed that the glitter just stuck to the candies. I'm going to have to give that a try. I just made some hearts yesterday and they would look so pretty with the glitter on them. I love the shiny lips.

Thanks Beth, just make sure the chocolate is at room temp, when they were right out of the freezer, it didn't stick as well. I love shiny lips too!
