Hey there, Hi there Ho there, I'm as happy as can be...
I've made Peppermint Bark so cute, I can't wait for you to see!
What's great about this? You can make the peppermint bark in any shape for any occasion.
And I won't try any more poetry. The candy was the perfect Christmas treat for my sister and her family.

And if you keep scrolling, I'll show you how I made the Cranberry Pistachio Chocolate Bark too.
You won't believe how easy it is to make your own Mickey Peppermint Bark. And if you don't need a peppermint Mickey, you can use any silicone mold and make ANY shape you want.
Let's get started~
I found crushed peppermint candy and it was the perfect topping for the peppermint bark.
And white melting chocolate.
Melt the white chocolate and add crushed peppermint pieces.
With Ghirardelli chocolate, you can't go wrong.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl at half power for 30 sec. at a time.
Stir until smooth.
Add 1/8 teaspoon of mint.
Fill the bottom of a Mickey Mouse silicone mold (or any other shape mold) with the melted chocolate.
Let the chocolate set until it just is beginning to get hard.
Top with the melted white chocolate/crushed peppermint candy mixture.
Before the white has set, add a sprinkling of peppermint pieces to the top.
Set the Peppermint Mickey's in the refrigerator until firm.
Remove each piece from the mold.
I wish you a Very Merry Minty Christmas!
WAIT! I have more chocolate in my cupboard and before I eat it, I decided to make another Christmas favorite.
Cranberry Pistachio Chocolate Bark!
Last Christmas, when I made the Cranberry Pistachio Bark, I poured the chocolate onto a tray and covered it with the pistachios and dried cranberries. Then I let it set and broke it apart.
It was a favorite!
It was a favorite!
This time I wanted it to be in the shape of Mickey.
So I got into my molds...this time a pancake mold! One of these days I'll have to actually make a pancake.
Again, you can use any pancake shape mold you want.
Three ingredients folks, just three!
Ghirardelli Chocolate.
Dried Cranberries.
Pistachios.
And the Mickey Mouse silicone pancake mold.
Place the silicone mold on to a sheet of parchment paper.
After melting the chocolate, spoon it into the mold.
Top the chocolate with the cranberries and pistachios.
Set in refrigerator to harden.
Remove from the refrigerator and gently pull the silicone mold away from the chocolate.
You might need to make extra. A lot of the Cranberry Pistachio Bark went missing before the party. There must have been a MOUSE!
Before the party comes to an end, one last little treat you can buy and repackage for favors.
Mickey Mouse shaped licorice. Too cute, right? I purchased the Mickey shaped licorice while at Disney World earlier in the year, I just couldn't bring my self to eat it. It needed to be used for something special.
So I stuck the bag into the freezer until this special day. Printed the labels (Online Label Item # OL3016 - 2" x 2") and placed a label on a small cellophane bag.
Peppermint, Licorice or Pistachio, what will it be?
What's your favorite...Peppermint, Licorice or Pistachio?
I choose all three.
Have a Magical Day!
My goodness, these are just too cute. Cindi
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteAdorable. Is there a way you can post a link so we can print out the Mickey Christmas labels for our cookies and bark please? Thank you. Kathy
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy, I just fixed the link to the printable and now it should work!
DeleteI am dying..with all three of these! Oh my goodness! I have some friends-who are fellow Disney nuts-in Disney right now. I know what I'm giving them for Christmas. I may be gushing, but that's how Mickey affects me. These treats are just awesome..thanks Kim! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, I get all gushy feeling when it comes to that adorable mouse, I could go to Disney every year and never get tired of it. Probably why I went all out with the sweets for my sister and her family!
DeleteIt's all just too cute!! Any thing shaped like Mickey goes up on the cuteness radar in my world!! Very creative!! From, twobeautifulgirls
ReplyDeleteThank you, I love anything Disney themed!! :)
DeleteWhere did you get the silicone Mickey molds from? The ones I saw available through Disney are muffin trays, but look almost the same as what you had in your pictures.
ReplyDeleteAt the bottom of the post is the link to the pan through amazon. It's such a great pan, I use is for many Disney sweets!
DeleteThank you! You wouldn't happen to have an exact recipe for the peppermint bark in the Mickey molds would you? I just saw an exact measurement for the mint.
DeleteSorry, there is no recipe as all I did was melt the white and dark chocolate. After it was melted, I added a bit of flavoring to the chocolate, I tasted it until there was just enough. Hope this helps.
