Hawaiian Themed Cake & Cupcakes!

Something that always gives me a bit of anxiety is the cake. I mean if I mess up a cookie I can just eat it and start over. But seriously, if I mess up a cake, I would want to eat the cake and start over. I can't confirm nor deny that has ever happened.

Tropical Cake Pops!

I was feeling beachy when creating the cake pops. Waikiki beachy. And I've got a lot more to share today. You're going to love it.

Tropical Dessert Table!

I told you there was another table.

A tropical themed table, full of desserts, decor and more.

Luau Themed Sugar Cookies!

Sometimes the cookies just work as planned. And sometimes they don't. Trust me when I say I'm the fist to admit if they didn't turn out, And stress and worry about them. But then again, I'm the first to say when they do turn out and love them.

Today I'm saying I LOVE THEM!

Tropical Oreos!

With the island vibes going, I couldn't stop with a few treats. And I'll admit, really nothing about these is tropical other than the way they were decorated. I can turn anything into any theme! These were all pretty easy.

Hula Girl Cupcakes!

Of course with this being a tropical themed party, I needed to have hula dancers. Have you ever gone to a Hawaiian luau and wanted to dance along with the hula dancers? Admit it, you tried when you were alone. Wait, was that just me?

Tropical Rice Krispie Treats!

One of the hardest things about this party was to decide which desserts to make. So it kind of looks like I made everything. At least everything I wanted to, like these Tropical Rice Krispie Treats!

Tropical Treats!

Seriously, I don't even know where to begin. This party is so full of tropical sweets and treats you won't believe it. Well, maybe you would, it's me. Because it's a tropical party, let's head to The Island. Not an island where you would find yourself surrounded by sand and the ocean, but my kitchen island.

Invitation in a Bottle!

While many of you prepared for a vacation to the beach, I was preparing for a celebration! This time a Tropical Sweet 16 Birthday Party for my niece. As always, the invitation sets the mood for my party. I found plastic bottles and filled them with beachy stuff and the invitation. The hours spent making these so special was well worth the effort!

Under the Sea 1st Birthday Smash Cake!

When I planned the smash cake, I didn't take into consideration I would be transporting it for 40 minutes. Me holding it and trying to keep it steady over every bump or sudden stop was not fun. Thankfully, it arrived in one piece, but the sides were a little cracked.

Under the Sea Themed 1st Birthday!

Today I'm thinking back to the Under the Sea themed 1st Birthday Party for my granddaughter. My daughter hosted the party and I helped with her with the creations. We put our minds together and came up with the best indoor under the sea themed party ever!

Let's Flamingle!

Well people, I'm still entertaining my family! Yes, my days are filled with finding party decor to go with my next theme. It's part of my work out, lifting storage bins from the large stack to another and going through them one by one. Fortunately they are clear and I can mostly see what's inside. But it is true excitement finding things I had completely forgotten about.

Beach Themed Mickey Mouse Cookies!

So what do you do when you want cookies for someone who is going to the beach and then to Disney World?  This time I was included...along with my sisters and our husbands!!  So I made beach themed Mickey Mouse cookies to share!  I didn't go into a lot of detail on these, kept it simple and stuck to the plan.

Beach Ball Scotcharoos!

I'm back to scotcharoos.  I can't stop making them, I hope you don't mind.  It's one of the easiest no bake desserts, not to mention one of my favorite desserts.  While you've all probably had a Scotcharoo bar and possible made the Scotcharoo Birthday Bars, I have another version, just in case you're not celebrating a birthday... you're celebrating summer!

Sea Shells in a Jar!

These sea shells were gathered and placed in a jar, only you won't find them on any beach.  In my kitchen yes, beach no.  It's beach week in my kitchen, so I'm dreaming up ways to feel like I'm spending my summer days on the beach.  When reality is, I'm actually no where remotely close to a beach.  So the sea shell cookies are the next best thing.

Beach Ball Cookie Platter!

Whether you're heading to the beach, pool, or the sprinklers in the yard, I've got cookies just for the occasion.  Yes, anything involving a beach ball is an occasion.  And they are perfect for the guest who says, oh, I'll just have a small bite.  When actually they really want the whole thing.  I mean, who just wants a small bite of anything, unless it's liver?  And then, who would even want a bite?

Beach Themed Oreo's

It's another summer of fun filled days on the beach.  Or in my case, fun filled days in the kitchen making beach themed sweets.  Either way, something about the beach makes me happy.  Mostly to look at because I really don't like getting sand stuck all over my feet.
However, I do like sand on my Oreo's, which leads me to these.

Back Yard Luau!

Wow, the summer days quickly passing by, aren't they?  You can slow things down by planning a summer LUAU with the help of Oriental Trading.  With everything they have to offer in party supplies, you'll find plenty of time for a backyard LUAU!

This Way to the Beach!

There are two kinds of people, pool people and beach people.  Which are you?  I would say, in a perfect world I would be lying by the pool looking out over the ocean.  I like to keep things nice and tidy by the pool, no sand on my towel or stuck to my feet.  At the same time, looking out at the never ending ocean is so peaceful and entertaining.
Today I'm bringing a little sand into the kitchen, so to speak, with my version of a sand castle cake and cake balls.

Hawaiian Lei Cake Pops!

I almost didn't make the Hawaiian lei for the luau.  I really should have started with this, isn't that the way you are greeted once you arrive in Hawaii?  Or perhaps you could greet your guests with an edible Lei?
