Gold Themed Christmas!

It's time to move on over to the island.

Gold Themed Christmas!

A Golden Christmas!

WOW! It's been so long since I've posted, I decided I better have something good.

Like golden good. And that is just what I have. I'm sharing the golden themed Christmas party I hosted for my family last year.

Curtain Call...the party's not over yet!

Once in a while something doesn't go as planned (okay, it happens more than once in a while). This was one of those times and I just had to make the best of it.  I wanted a beautiful tiered Christmas Tree Cake.  I'll admit that once I finished, I really liked how it turned out, however, it couldn't have been further from what I had drawn.

Desserts and More...Desserts!

With so many dessert's in this post and in case you're wearing skinny jeans, you may want to change into sweats.  You will get hungry.  During the preparation of all the desserts I realized I didn't take any photos, I had one thing on my mind and that was how to make them sparkle.  Just in case you missed it, here is the dessert table once again.

Glitter & Gold Dessert Table!

Now it's time to wow your guests with the Sparkly & Gold Dessert Table.  After purchasing gold treasures throughout the last four years, I didn't know for sure where it would take me.  After many sleepless nights and a couple long days, my dessert table was ready to shine.

Glittered Champagne Flutes!

However you plan to celebrate the new year, Gold or Bright, I've got you covered. In this little corner I served chocolate truffles and gingerbread cupcakes along side my golden champagne flutes.  The flutes were topped with more edible glitter and sanding sugar.
Here they are displayed on a very sparkly background~

Is Your Tinsel Tangled?

I promised more gold and because I always keep my promises.

I'll show you how I even made my buffet sparkle!

Gold Christmas Tree

First of all, I don't know if I should wish you a Merry Halloween or apologize about the random post that went out earlier in the week.  Hopefully the problem is fixed and all is well in bloggyland.

I not much of a photographer, but I'd like to share one of the photographs I took a few years ago through the window of my office, the tree in my front yard.   When I woke up early one morning, it was full of frost and snow and looked so pretty.

Gold Rush!

I'm trying to decide...to post or not to post, that is the question.

You may have noticed that Christmas is less then a week away and if you're like me, you might be running out of time.  I've got a few simple desserts that I think you might like.  (It looks like I decided to post!)  Here's the set up~

Puttin' on the Glitz!

Now...how about something sparkly for everyone?

Taking a little time to create the perfect backdrop for my glittery gold themed glasses didn't take long at all, nor did it cost much.  If you've been following my blog, you probably notice that I use a blank canvas for the backdrop on my counters.  This time I made it sparkle!

Edible Christmas Candle Cakes!

The title says it all...Edible Christmas Candles!  Years ago when I found this candle holder, I knew what I wanted to do with it.  So I couldn't wait when the time finally came to make the candle cakes.  And now you can light your candle and eat it too!

Gold Cinnamon Candy & More!

What's sparkly and gold and not made with a mold?  Yes, today I'm showing you several easy sparkly Christmas ideas...no mold needed!  Every year I make cinnamon candy at Christmas and because I was having a golden themed Christmas party, I decided to make gold cinnamon candy!

Christmas Ornament Cake Pops!

I couldn't wait to show you what I came up with using my snowman cake pop mold!  Of course a snowman would be adorable, possibly predictable, so I went out on a limb...so to speak and created Ornament Cake Pops.

All that glitters is GOLD!

Can you believe I'm actually hosting a Christmas party that doesn't have anything red or green?

Yep, it's a party I've been planning for a looooong time.  When I finally got my the storage bins out to see what I had collected over the years, it really was like Christmas.  Sparkly. Gold. Christmas!  I got started right away with the invitations~
