Just a Slice... of Apple Pie!

I don't know if it's because the sun has been shinning and it's unseasonably warm here in Colorado I decided to make pie?  Or possibly another reason, because I found this incredibly cute cookie cutter?  I'm pretty sure you know the answer.  And just when I thought it was spring, it started snowing again.  So does that mean it's okay to go ahead and make those snowflake cookies I've been thinking about for days?

Anyway, back to the cutter, it's made for cookies, I used it for pie.

It wouldn't be possible for me to have a party without serving a dessert.  And this dessert was part of the decorations.  Don't you love it when you can eat the decorations...less cleanup!  After seeing this cake by Lindy Smith, I knew it would be perfect for the party, with a few added mini lady bug cakes!

I'm working on a party...and it's completely taking all my time.  You will love it I promise, so while I'm working my fanny pack off planning this party, I am going to show you a party you may have missed.  Let's look back at a fan favorite party - the Indoor Picnic.  Most of you would have the courage to host the picnic, well, outdoors.  I'm really not much of an outdoor party girl, maybe it's because I can't control the weather, or maybe I want to get things set up waaaay early, or maybe...goodness knows there are lots of reasons!!  Whatever it is, I decided to have an INDOOR picnic.  (Ladybugs and ants were flown in from the most beautiful picnic parks in the world).

I'm at it again - ready to fill you in on the indoor picnic I had.  Once, I tried to have a party outside, I had everything set up, the guests arrived, all was going perfectly until the cloud came over and starting raining on my parade party!  So quickly everyone started to help carry things in and I was soooooooo upset it was raining I think I was not being a very good hostess I know I was not being a very good hostess!  Finally I realized that the party could and would go on, and it did.
