It's been all of two days since I've made Rice Krispie Treats.  Seriously, I make them so often I don't know if anyone in my household wants to eat them besides me.  Why don't I ever get tired of Rice Krispie Treats?  Maybe it's because I usually make them for someone else and then all I get to do is eat what stays stuck on the spatula.  Sometimes a LOT of the Rice Krispie Treat stays stuck on the spatula...just sayin'.

Rice Krispie Treat Easter Basket

I've made all kinds of Easter Baskets in my life, but this is the first time I've made Rice Krispie Treat Easter Baskets!  I know, can you believe it, why did I wait so long?  At first I was going to pipe the frosting on with a basket weave tip, but then decided to make it quick and easy.  My imprint rolling pin (I bought for who knows what) came in pretty handy.

There are Scotcharoos and then there are Birthday Scotcharoos.  It's like a Rice Krispie Treat dressed up, ready to party.  It is the perfect birthday treat for my daughter who is gluten free and the perfect treat for me because I LOVE Scotcharoos!  They have been a family favorite since I was a little girl and I love them as much now as before.  Maybe better because they are cuter than before!

Oh No!  I missed national donut day.  I miss national donut day every year... I guess I've really only missed it the last couple of years, before then, I didn't even know national donut day existed.  I decided to celebrate now, if I wait until next year, chances are I'll miss it again.  I mean, do people put it in their calendar?  How do they remember?

I've been working on so many ideas in my mind, my body doesn't have time to catch up.  I finally opened the drawer and put away all the things that were left to be made into spectacular Valentines.  They just didn't happen. 

Now I'm filling my drawer with ideas for Easter and some are more complicated than others.  I decided this is not the week for anything complicated which is why I made the easiest Rice Krispie Bunnies ever.  You don't need any special pan or skill and you can have them done in a pinch!  Literally.

Feather Rice Krispie Treats!

With one day before Thanksgiving, I wanted to make something simple.  And to me simple always begins with a Rice Krispie Treat.  The treats were made, cut into bars and then nothing.  Nothing came to me, all I could see were Rice Krispie Bars. 

 

When that happens, I realize it's time for a break, which means go the computer and see what's going on.  Within one minute on Facebook, I saw a cute little photo of two kiddos, each wearing a feather in a headband, titled "Thanksgiving Feast"!  Immediately I knew what to do with the RKT.
