Paint Palette Truffles!

Should I admit I was planning to make cake pops and then decided I was too tired?  Or should I just pretend my original plan was to make Brownie Truffles?  Either way, I made a good decision to go with the Brownie Truffles.

Back to School Ideas

It must be August because school supplies are everywhere.  I wanted to highlight some of my favorite back to school ideas from the past.  They're just so much fun year after year, I really think you'll love them all!

Graduation Cake!

April Showers bring May Flowers...and Graduations.  I thought I would share a graduation cake that you will have plenty of time to make for your upcoming graduate.

Chocolate Shapes Cookie Puzzle!

The Back to school party has ended, and now it's time to do a little teaching.  With something chocolate and fun.  Really, who wouldn't want to learn their shapes with an edible puzzle?

Roll Call!

I'm a little sad because today is the last of the Back to School Party posts.  I guess it's a good thing too, because it's time to start studying.  I'm so happy I was the one hosting the party for all the kids going back to school and not actually going back to school. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate school, but I didn't love it either.  The parts that I loved were...you guessed it, the fun stuff.  Speaking of fun stuff, here's the spread for the students~

Muffin, Muffin!

Muffin, Muffin, who has the muffin?  I hosted the back to school party in the morning, just so I could have muffins.  And I wanted my muffins to be cute, so I had to find a way to schoolify them.  This is what I came up with~

Art Class!

Today you won't want to be late for class - ART class.  It was my favorite subject in school, Art along with recess.  Oh, maybe recess isn't a class.  Anyhow, I had a blast putting together this Art themed class for the students.  When I found paint can puzzles, I couldn't resist and had to get them for the party!

Chocolate Pretzel Crayons

Because I am the teacher...(only of this back to school party) most of my classes will have something to do with art...or fun...or both!
One class was full of crayons, edible pretzel crayons.

Pencils & Paper Clips!

I hope I'm not overloading you with the back to school party.  I thought about giving you time for Study Hall, however, it was only a thought because I think you might end up scribbling with these colored pencil cookies!

Book Worm Cupcakes!

Along with all the other apple themed treats for the party, I decided to make an apple cupcake.  Not JUST any apple cupcake, this cupcake has a little book worm ready to read!

Apple Popcorn Balls!

Maybe, just maybe, you want to send your child to school with an apple for the teacher.  I'm pretty sure they would be the teacher's pet all year if they brought a basket of these.

If A is for Apple...

If A is for apple, then B is for Bubble Gum, right?  At least at MY back to school party it does. Last year, I found these cute little pens, only they were to be used for sand art, which would be cute, but messy for a party.  Instead, I filled the pens with bright colored gumballs, bagged and tied them up.  (I hope those last few words don't cause alarm to National Security, just in case I'm being monitored.)  Anyway, here they are in all their cuteness.

An Apple a Day!

I am so excited about this back to school party, I can't wait to show you everything!  One of the displays included apples and a chalkboard.  Isn't that the first thing you think of when school is mentioned?  Apples?  Chalkboards?  And Chocolate?

School is Cool!

I created so many back to school treats last year, I decided to do a little recap.  Plus, the back to school party is not 'til Wednesday, and I want everything to be a surprise.  So please stay with me until Wednesday, when the real party begins.   Here's a little look back, click on the photo for more information on the school subject!!

Back To School!

While everyone is preparing the children to go back to school, I'm preparing a party for the children.  In this case, all my nieces and nephews and any other child that shows up!  I have been working on this party for weeks so that I can give them the best and only back to school party they've ever had.  And it started with the invitation.

One Sharp Cookie!

Teachers everywhere should be celebrated everyday for all they do for our children.  I have seen a wonderful assortment of ideas for teacher gifts on the web and thought I should add one too.  During back to school week, I made pencil cookies HERE and a very creative friend wanted to order some for her child's teachers along with a tag that read:
Thanks for making me one "Sharp" Cookie!
Since I aim to please, I made the cookies and the tag!

Pop Tart Cookies!

What a way to start the day, during the day, or better yet to end the day?  Maybe just "Pop" one in a school lunch for a tasty treat.  Milk and Pop Tart Cookies - Not just for breakfast!

Flash Card... Cookies

How fun would it be to study Math with flashcards like this~

After School Cupcake Cookies!

I realize all my "Back to School" ideas may be coming after you've sent your kiddos back to school and that's why I'm cramming them all in one week, I hope you don't mind.  Just think of it as finals week and you'll be good to go!

After making the Cupcakes, I decided to make Cupcake Cookies too. Wouldn't your little one (or grown one) be pleased if you had one of these waiting for them when they came home from school?

Back to School Cupcakes

These little cupcakes just about didn't make it to the blog, they took time and I wish I had done a better job.  I'm going to show them to you anyway.  I had some flat marshmallows left from another project, so I decided to make them into little books.  Problem is, the marshmallows were not completely flat, so the books were curved.  And that my friends makes me crazy.   Not any more, my loyal follower Jean pointed out that the most loved books are curved!
