Carrot Cake!

Another day in the classroom.  The Sugar Art Classroom that is.  I needed a beautiful design for my Carrot Cake that didn't involve little squiggle carrots on top, this was not the cake for carrots.  I wanted it to be elegant and rustic to go with a fall themed dessert table.  And I think it would beautiful on a Thanksgiving table as well, don't you?

Fall Cookies!

Fall is here and Thanksgiving is around the corner.  Now it's time to make cookies to go along with the season...

Feather Rice Krispie Treats!

With one day before Thanksgiving, I wanted to make something simple.  And to me simple always begins with a Rice Krispie Treat.  The treats were made, cut into bars and then nothing.  Nothing came to me, all I could see were Rice Krispie Bars.

When that happens, I realize it's time for a break, which means go the computer and see what's going on.  Within one minute on Facebook, I saw a cute little photo of two kiddos, each wearing a feather in a headband, titled "Thanksgiving Feast"!  Immediately I knew what to do with the RKT.

Pumpkin Spice Cake!

YIKES!  Why didn't someone remind me Thanksgiving is almost here?  Like in four days almost here.  Thankfully I'm not doing the cooking, just the baking.  I won't even tell you about the time I made a turkey, you can only imagine.

Anyway, this is what I baked, a Pumpkin Spice Cake.  I love this cake, but haven't made it for a long long time.  I decided it was time to bring back the spice!

Pumpkin Patch Cookies!

You probably guessed when I was making the chocolate covered apple cookies stand, they wouldn't be the last of my standing cookies.  I'm afraid it's only the beginning because I keep coming up with things I can make stand...like these cookies.

"WHOO" Knew Something So Cute Could Taste So Good??

I don't know if you got it, but this is "WHOO" I'm talking about.  A homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Owl.  It's so cute, I wanted to name it.  But then I couldn't eat it, because you really should not eat anything you've named, right?

Edible Thanksgiving Place Cards!

I always like to have a plan and part of that plan is to do what ever I can, before the Holidays.  Speaking of Holidays, Thanksgiving is going to be here before you know it.  Each year I think about making edible place cards for the table.  Each year, I end up telling everyone where to sit, that works, but it's not as fun as these...

Pumpkin Pie Cake!

Today I'm back with my teaching shoes on.  And a riddle.  What looks like a Pumpkin Pie and tastes like a Pumpkin Pie but isn't a Pumpkin Pie?

 PUMPKIN PIE CAKE of course!
And I'm giving a step by step tutorial for all the members of the Sugar Art School.

Whoopie Pie Pumpkins!

Today, I'm sharing my new love over at Hungry Happenings.  I love pumpkin, but I don't love pumpkin pie, in fact I don't even like it.  So every year around Thanksgiving, I try and come up with a way to make pumpkin into anything but a pie.  Today you could say I now LOVE pumpkin pie...

Caramel Apple Turkey!

I hope you enjoyed the caramel apples I made for Halloween, because today they're back.  This time the apple has tail feathers, perfect to give to your favorite turkey this Thanksgiving.

Chocolate Dipped Turkey Pretzels!

I've had a lot of fun this Halloween, however, it's time to move on from Ghosts to Gobblers don't you think?  Everyone loves a chocolate dipped pretzel and to make them even more fun I've turned them into...

The Pumpkin Patch!

I've not been feeling the best and didn't have a chance to finish up with my latest creations.  Then, low and behold, these little treats came in at just the right time!  Again, I am thrilled to be a part of the Sugar Art School with the one and only Sharon Zambito at the head of the class!  I always have to double check to make sure it's true and it is true, so today I get to show you the Pumpkin Patch I created for the school!

Simple & Silly Thanksgiving Treats!

Because I sometimes get a little complicated in what I create, I decided to make this post totally simple and...silly.  While shopping at Target (please someone stop me from shopping) I found s'more flavored candy corn.  If you thought I was finished with candy corn, I'm sorry, I brought it back for Thanksgiving and made party favors!

Happy Owlidays!

Turkey Cake Pops...Gobble Gobble!

I would like to be the first to welcome you to the month of November.  Lately I've been coming up with ideas using the snowman cake pop mold... remember the Spider Cake Pops?  After making those, I decided to challenge myself this month and use the snowman cake pop mold in a new way.  After I created the Pumpkin Pie Cake Pop, I knew a Turkey was not far behind...

Pumpkin Pie Cake Pops!

I know, I know, Halloween isn't even over, I'm just so excited to show you what I did with my pumpkin!   In my world, pumpkin pie is not anything I would want for dessert on Thanksgiving or anytime.  However, Pumpkin Pie Cake Pops?  Yes Please.  Three Slices.

Happy Owl-O-Ween!

I wasn't quite sure what these little guys were, then realized they were owls turned witches for Halloween.  I guess everyone likes to dress up.  And they are votive candle holders, I decided they were too cute for a votive, so I made Mocha Cupcakes.  And I'm pretty sure they are much happier holding a cupcake rather than a candle.  I know I am!

Pumpkin Trifle!
